World famous for his opposition to the invasion and occupation of Iraq, Mr Galloway joined the Labour Party when he was 13. A former Labour MP, he was expelled from the Labour Party in October 2003 as a result of his stance on the Iraq war, having accused Blair and Bush of acting "like wolves" in invading Iraq.

Since then, he has been a leading figure in the anti-war party, Respect - The Unity Coalition. A committed supporter of a Free Palestine, he has led the way in challenging the establishment view on the occupations of both Palestine and Iraq.

Mr Galloway will address the issue of Dirty wars & Dirty Tricks – The Corrupting Influence of Occupation in his lecture, which will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Mr Galloway had been due to speak at the Féile in August but due to the London bombings he was unable to attend.
